A cheerful young gnome with an equally cheerful mongrel dances his dance of joy in the snow. To us, dear viewer, it is not so important what they are happy about - the first snow, or, conversely, the coming spring. It is important that the fun is kind, carefree and light, since these are the feelings the author wanted to convey to you with this work. It should also be noted that this funny couple is dancing in front of the historic Boynton House in Richmond Hill (Ontario), very close to the author’s studio.
Victor Molev Victor Molev is a Canadian artist of Russian descent, working in the styles of Decorative Realism, Fantasy, Symbolism and Surrealism. Molev was born in the year 1955 in Gorky (present day Nizhny Novgorod), Russia. From an early age, he has shown interest in the visual arts and dedicated his time to creativity. As the artist himself jokes, his love for art derived from the fact that his grandmother was kissed by Marc Chagall in her childhood. She was his younger sister’s classmate, and often visited the Chagall household.
